As Sudan continues to face the devastating effects of conflict, displacement, and food insecurity, many families struggle to access nutritious food and meet their basic needs.

To help bring relief during Eid al-Adha, the Canadian Eritrean Youth Development (CEYD), in partnership with the Welfare Development and Charity Organization (WeDCO), supported the distribution of Udhiya (Qurbani) meat to vulnerable families across Kassala State and North Darfur.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, a total of 58 cows, 45 sheep, and 72 goats were sacrificed and distributed, reaching 2,151 families and benefiting more than 10,755 individuals.

The project provided much-needed food assistance to displaced families and communities heavily impacted by Sudan’s ongoing humanitarian crisis. Beyond meeting immediate nutritional needs, the initiative helped families share in the blessings and joy of Eid al-Adha during a particularly difficult time.

CEYD extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year’s Udhiya campaign, including SNMC and donors like you. Your support helped bring relief, dignity, and hope to thousands of families across Sudan.
