The Canadian Eritrean Youth Development (CEYD), in partnership with the Daleel Association, is excited to present Pitch with Purpose, a Shark Tank-style entrepreneurship competition designed to empower young innovators across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Whether you have a groundbreaking business concept, a creative solution to an everyday challenge, or an early-stage venture ready to grow, Pitch with Purpose is your opportunity to take the next step toward making your entrepreneurial dreams a reality.
And the best part? The winning pitch will receive $3,000 to help launch their idea!
An Opportunity to Grow
At CEYD, we believe young people have the creativity, passion, and potential to become the entrepreneurs and changemakers of tomorrow. Sometimes, all it takes is the right opportunity, encouragement, and support to transform a great idea into something extraordinary.
That’s why Pitch with Purpose is about more than winning a cash prize. It’s about giving young entrepreneurs a platform to share their vision, develop their confidence, connect with experienced mentors, and build relationships that can help them succeed.
Through this exciting initiative, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Compete for $3,000 to help bring their business idea to life.
- Pitch their ideas live to a panel of judges in a Shark Tank-style competition.
- Gain valuable mentorship and guidance to support their entrepreneurial journey.
- Build meaningful connections with mentors, fellow entrepreneurs, and community supporters.
- Make a positive impact by developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for passionate, creative, and ambitious young people who are ready to turn their ideas into action.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be between 16 and 35 years old.
- Live in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Have an innovative business idea or an early-stage venture.
We especially encourage ideas that solve real problems, create positive impact, and demonstrate the potential to grow sustainably.
You don’t need to have an established business to apply. If you have a promising idea and the drive to make it happen, we want to hear from you!
How Does Pitch with Purpose Work?
The competition follows five exciting stages:
Step 1: Apply Online
Submit your business idea through the official application process before the deadline.
Step 2: Finalists Are Selected
Applications will be reviewed, and selected entrepreneurs will be invited to present their ideas.
Step 3: Pitch Live
Finalists will showcase their business concepts to a panel of judges in an exciting Shark Tank-style pitch event.
Step 4: Win $3,000
The entrepreneur with the winning idea will receive a $3,000 prize to help launch or grow their business.
Step 5: Mentorship and Networking
The journey doesn’t end with the competition. Participants will have opportunities to benefit from mentorship, build connections, and gain valuable insights to support their entrepreneurial growth.
