Through the CEYD Orphan Sponsorship Program, CEYD provides ongoing support to orphaned children living in refugee camps across the Eritrean diaspora.
For children who have lost one or both parents, sponsorship offers more than material support. It provides stability, dignity, and reassurance that they are not forgotten.
Why Orphan Sponsorship Matters
Orphaned children living in refugee settings face extreme vulnerability. Without consistent support, many struggle to access basic necessities, education, and safe environments.
Orphan sponsorship helps meet essential needs while giving children the opportunity to grow, learn, and build a more hopeful future. When you support an orphan, you are helping to provide:
- Daily meals and clean water
- Clothing and basic necessities
- Education and school supplies
- Healthcare and wellbeing support
How Orphan Sponsorship Works
- Sponsorship costs approximately $50 per month or $600 annually
- Funds are distributed through trusted partner organizations working on the ground
- Support is provided on an ongoing basis to ensure continuity of care
- Sponsors may receive updates on the program when available
